Sports Days 10th and 11th July

Congratulations to the overall winners - Eagles They gained the highest scores on both days of events.

Vale Tennis Final 6th June 2018

The Tennis Team attended the Vale Tennis Final on Wednesday 6th June 2018 at Faringdon Tennis Club. The team was made up of 4 players: Henry, Dan, Rachel and Estelle. We had to play each school during the competition and only one team would qualify to represent the vale at the Oxfordshire School Games. Our first match was played against St Nicolas and was a win with Henry, Rachel and Estelle all winning their games. In the second match against Buckland it was a close match with Henry, Dan and Rachel all winning their matches and Estelle only losing hers by one point. Our third match was against Long Furlong and we secured a great win with all our team winning their matches. Finally we had to play Cumnor who had also won all their previous matches. It was very close in all 4 matches however we managed to stay calm and with Henry, Rachel and Estelle winning their matches we finished in first place overall! Vale Swimming Final 25th April

Vale Swimming Final On Wednesday 25th April, the finalist from the swimming gala took part in Vale Finals at Radley College Sports Centre. The competition was of a very high standard with Wantage being the only school to have both and A and B team qualify! Our B team boys swam fantastically encouraged and supported by the boys’ A team. The boys used the afternoon to gain experience of swimming in gala to this standard and are all now determined to be there again next year! The boys’ A team again had a great afternoon winning 5 out of the 6 races showing great excellence they finished 1st overall 9 points ahead of Our Lady’s. They will now go to compete at the Oxfordshire School Games. In the girls’ final, which was of an extremely high standard, the team tried their hardest winning the medley relay, individual freestyle and coming second in the freestyle relay and backstroke individual relay.
