On Thursday 2nd
March a team of eight children from Year 4 took part in a Bisi Badminton
Festival. The festival is a chance for the children to learn some new skills in
line with badminton.
The children
compete only against their own team or against themselves in a number of
activities. The children all had a great afternoon experimenting with new
equipment and new games. The favourite game during the afternoon was
‘Throwminton’. During this game the children split into two teams our chose
girls v boys, they then play with a giant shuttle cock in a catch/volleyball
type game.
Another
favourite during the afternoon was ‘Racket Keepy-uppy’ with the children trying
to beat their own score using different shaped rackets.
The children
all showed great enthusiasm and teamwork during the afternoon.
